Terms and conditions for competitions and prize draws
Achensee Tourism regularly organizes competitions and prize draws on its social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram), as well as on its official website, www.achensee.com. The specific terms and conditions, such as the duration, promotional details, prizes, and other relevant information, are provided in the respective posts. Winners will be selected at random and will be notified via a comment on the corresponding Facebook or Instagram post. For entries submitted via Instagram DM, notifications will be sent via direct message. For entries submitted via the website, notifications will be sent by email. The selected winners will be required to contact us via private message to receive detailed information about the prize and the subsequent steps to claim it. Participation in any competition or prize draw organized by Achensee Tourism is entirely free of charge and is governed exclusively by the terms and conditions specified in the relevant announcement and on this website. Achensee Tourism reserves the right to disqualify any participant from the competition or prize draw in the event of a violation of the established conditions of participation.
By entering a competition or price draw, participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions:
- Entries submitted after the specified deadline will not be included in the prize draw.
- Participation is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
- Social media: Individuals who follow Achensee Tourism on Instagram or have liked our Facebook page are eligible to participate.
- The winner will be notified by Achensee Tourism by phone or email within three (3) working days of the closing date.
- Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Claims to prizes cannot be transferred to another person.
- The following terms and conditions apply to the draw for an accommodation voucher in the Achensee region:
- The voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue, with the specific validity period indicated on the voucher.
- The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
- The voucher is non-transferable and can only be used once.
- Any remaining balance on the voucher will not be paid out in cash but will remain valid until the end of the validity period.
- The Achensee Tourist Board is solely responsible for fixing travel dates and allocating accommodation.
- All bookings and arrangements must be made directly with the Achensee Tourist Board, either by telephone at +43 5 953000 or by email at info@achensee.com
- Should the winners fail to respond within one (1) week of notification, they will forfeit the right to claim the prize and the organizer may choose another winner.
- Winners must provide Achensee Tourism with their full name, home address, and email address.
- Entrants warrant that all personal information provided is accurate and truthful.
- By participating in the competition or prize draw, entrants give their express consent, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, for the operator to store their personal data for up to 40 months for the purpose of administering the competition or prize draw.
- Achensee Tourism shall not be held liable for any consequences or damages of any kind arising from participation in the competition or price draw.
- The organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition or price draw at any time due to technical issues, manipulation by third parties, force majeure, or similar circumstances. The organizer is not obliged to disclose the reasons for such termination.
- In the event of winning, participants agree to the publication of their names and related images on this website and on the official social media channels of Achensee Tourism (Facebook, Instagram). This publication is in accordance with our legal obligations under the Tirolean Tourism Act 2006 (public relations, reporting, information) and in accordance with Article 6(1)(e) or our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
This competition or prize draw is in no way associated with, endorsed, sponsored, or administered by Facebook or Instagram. As such, Facebook and Instagram should not be considered as points of contact for any inquiries. Any questions or complaints relating to the competition or prize draw should be directed to Achensee Tourism. Contact details are available on the website www.achensee.com, by email at info@achensee.com or by direct messaging on Facebook and Instagram. The right to legal recourse is excluded. All matters relating to this competition or prize draw shall be governed exclusively by Austrian law.
Newsletter subscription
- By ticking the appropriate box, users agree that their personal data (name and e-mail address) may be used for the purpose of subscribing to the Achensee Newsletter. A double opt-in confirmation will be sent to the user in order to finalise the subscription to the mailing list. Subscription to the newsletter is entirely voluntary and does not impose any obligations on the user. The newsletter service is free of charge.
- Users may at any time withdraw their consent to the storage of their personal data and its use for the purposes of sending the newsletter. An unsubscribe link is included in each newsletter for this purpose.
- The personal data collected will only be used by TVB ACHENSEE for the administration of the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. In addition, this data may be used for advertising purposes in connection with competitions or prize draws. No other data will be collected.
